Yes, Your Facebook Profile Boxes Are Gone: "many users were taken off guard as application boxes began disappearing from their profiles yesterday afternoon."

I didn't use profile boxes myself, but I know many folks who had "Causes" and other boxes. Facebook had announced this upcoming deletion to application developers, but I'm not sure how much it was passed on to the casual FB user.
